Police Officers per 1,000 People by County

Sworn officers employed by local law enforcement in the county, per 1,000 residents. Counts who is employed there, not how much crime there is: a county hosting a small city with its own force shows more officers than its population alone would suggest. In counties of a few thousand people one agency's staffing sets the whole rate, so the extremes are thin rather than remarkable.
